BustedGrid.com Announces Milestone of Over 32 Million Incidents in the Busted! Crime Maps Database

The Busted! Crime Maps database enables citizens to determine where crimes are occurring in their neighborhood

January 09, 2013

Busted! Grid, the leading innovator in the aggregation of crime information, announces the Busted! Crime Maps database has added over 32 million incidents since the website’s beta release in October 2012. The comprehensive research tool currently gives residents in 27 states access to detailed crime incident reports broken down by city, state, and address.

Busted! Crime Maps is a resource that helps people easily evaluate neighborhoods with 17 searchable incident categories that include theft, violence, drug, accidents, and injury. The tool allows users to filter results by incident type, date, zip code, or address. To ensure accuracy, information posted on the website is gathered directly from local law enforcement agencies.

“We are honored to provide an innovative tool like Busted! Crime Maps for our users who have decided to become more proactive in the ongoing fight against crime. The addition of over 32 million incidents in our database is an important milestone for us as we continue our mission to help citizens become aware of criminal activity in their community,” says Kyle Prall founder of BustedMugshots.com and BustedGrid.com. “As we continue to increase the amount of information in our database, citizens from across the country will be able to make more informed decisions about where they work, live, and play.”

Busted! Crime Maps updates incident information with additional cities and states daily. The database contains several performance features including data display options for current (within the past three months) and historic (all data available) incidents, several graphical representation options, and a zoom feature allowing various views with icon pins offering incident view capability. The zoom functionality also allows users to understand where incidents are occurring down the block and in many cases a specific address.

“Public safety is a major concern among many Americans and we are determined to provide accurate crime information to those who seek it,” says Prall. “Very soon the Busted! Grid subscribers will be able to receive criminal activity email alerts, monthly reports, and view personalized dashboards revealing criminal incidents around addresses they are monitoring.”
